The first message only ever asks one of two things.
Across 356,227 conversations in 20 sub-accounts there are 67 distinct
first messages, and every one of them is either a YES ask — "we got your photo a little while back,
are you still interested?" — or a PHOTO ask — "you applied a little while ago, could you send over a
recent photo?". The YES ask drives at 6AB (said yes, no photo). The PHOTO ask drives at N1N (sent a picture).
There is no CMN opener anywhere: CMN is only ever reached on the second step, after a reply.
268,589 people messaged, 60,365 (22.5%) ended up with a recycled code — and almost all of it is 6AB.
6AB 42,910 (16.0%) ·
CMN 8,933 (3.3%) ·
N1N 7,138 (2.7%) ·
5AB 5,030 · R 2,018.
6AB is 71.1% of every code the engine has produced.
A quarter of them were already that code before the engine said a word.
68,783 people (25.6%) already carried a 6AB row when the first
message went out, 28,409 an R and 16,146 a CMN. That is why every number on
this page is date-ordered against the first message — an undated join would count those as conversions and roughly
double the answer.
9,243 people sent a photo. 6,078 of them (65.8%) never got a code at all.
A photo is the whole point of the PHOTO ask, and only 1,396 became an N1N within 30 days
and 512 a CMN. A photo reply arrives with an empty body and an attachment, so
anything classifying on text alone cannot see it.

Read the last column first. "Became" here means a CRM lead row in that family dated strictly
after the person's first SLE message; the last column is people who already carried that family beforehand and are
therefore excluded from the first three. Join is the last 10 digits of the phone against
1,180,261 CRM lead rows, 2025-01-01 to 2026-09-14.
Hold the age of the lead constant and the YES ask beats the PHOTO ask about two to one — on replies and on codes.
On leads that were 181–365 days old when first messaged in Jul–Aug 2026, the YES ask got
18.8% replies
and 6.2% a code inside 14 days;
the PHOTO ask got 10.1%
and 3.1%.
The same holds at 91–180 days. This is the comparison that matters — the raw split below flatters the YES ask
further, because the PHOTO ask was aimed at a much older list.

A person is counted under the ask in their earliest message. "Replied" is a real inbound SMS with
text; a photo reply carries no text, so it is counted separately.

Jul–Aug 2026 is the only window in which both asks ran, and both are 14-day mature as of the build date.
Lead age is the first message date minus the day that phone first appears in the CRM; CRM history here starts
2025-01-01, so ages are floored, not exact. Bands under 200 people are still shown but do not carry weight.

The reply rate has fallen every month for a year and a half — but so has the quality of the list.
The YES ask replied at 94.6% in Apr 2025 against
21.6% in Aug 2026.
In Apr 2025 the median lead was 0 days old when it was messaged — the engine was working that week's applicants.
In Aug 2026 the median was 107 days on the YES ask and 278 days on the PHOTO ask. Do not read this
column as the machine degrading until the age table on the previous tab has been read alongside it.

Cohorts under 100 people are omitted. September 2026 is part-built and 14-day immature — it is shown
for completeness and must not be read as a rate.
20 of the 23 rows in the token sheet are reachable.
API 1 has a location id (slyrSVDcRAfDjJHMiPVW) but no token in the sheet;
API 6 and API 18 read "Sub Account not found". Every other account returned 200 on
every call. API 21–34 are not in the sheet at all — the engine is documented as 23 accounts, so
anything those hold is missing from this page.

A person messaged by several accounts is counted once, against whichever sent their earliest message.
API 35, 36 and 37 are the kids accounts — they run the child templates, carry sle:segment:kids, and
are the only ones producing 5AB at volume.

"not tagged" is the pre-SLE population — contacts from the 2025 automation that carry a
crm_id but none of the sle: enrichment tags. They were being worked when the leads were days
old, which is why their reply rate is so far above everything else. They are not a city.

Read off sle:source:<code> with the recycled -R stripped before classifying —
classify() finds Blue Rooms with endsWith('X') and a recycled code ends in R, so without the
strip every recycled Blue Rooms code bills to Alan.
