Thu 17 Sep to Wed 30 Sep · eight trading studios in 8 cities · show rate and cancellations from the 28 settled days to Wed 16 Sep
Sorted worst first. On offer excludes the hours a studio is closed — a studio that shuts its quiet mornings is disciplined, not empty. The settled norm across Mar–Aug 2026 is 72–80%, so green is at norm and red needs a call today.

Neil, 5 Sep 2026: "they are different things, we dont allow unemployed people on a weekend." Different qualification, different population, so they are never blended on this page. Across the settled Mar–Aug history the weekend runs about 5 points fuller than the week (Sat 81.5%, Sun 79.8% against Thu 74.6%), and it is also where the kids sit.

Kids = the booking’s own age is 17 or under. This is the age on the diary, not the KIDSX marketing family, so it will not tie to /kids-volume — that report answers what we bought, this one answers who is in the chair. Fill % cannot be split by age (an empty seat has no age), so the split here is of bookings, and the show rate beside it is what actually differs.

Show rates are from the last 28 settled days, because a forward booking has no outcome yet.
A booked seat is not a filled chair. Fill % counts what was sold; show rate is how much of it turned up. The gap between them is the single biggest number on this page — across Mar–Aug the diary ran 78% booked but only 51% arrived. Denominator is settled bookings only (arrived or marked no-show); anything still open is excluded.

Chairs filled is arrived ÷ seats on offer — the only number that describes what the studio actually did with its day.
CSV: diary_fill_show_rate.csv — settled bookings by city, day type and age band.
The premise was worth testing and it did not hold. Every cancellation in the window was matched back against the diary by studio, date and name:
514 of the 641 cancellations in this window (80.2%) gave two days’ notice or more. That is the resellable pile — seats we were told about with time to fill them.
The bands break at 2 days because that is the point a booker realistically has time to refill the seat. Everything from “2-3 days” down is recoverable inventory.

CSV: diary_fill_cancellations.csv — every cancellation and no-show with notice, reason and refund option.
The CRM has no diary-fullness report. This page reads the booking calendar’s own event feed (application/diary/service/events.php) — the same source the calendar screen draws from — which returns one row per seat, per 30-minute slot, per studio.
| Seat type | Meaning | Counted as |
|---|---|---|
| A | A booked appointment | booked, and on offer |
| N | Empty and on sale | on offer |
| I | Empty, with a $5-10 incentive attached | on offer |
| L | Locked — a booker holding it | on offer |
| C / X | Closed — the studio is not open | excluded |
Capacity is not the raw grid. The calendar is a 24-hour grid, so about 57% of it is closed simply because the studio is shut. Counting that as capacity would make a studio that closes its quiet mornings look empty rather than disciplined. Every fill % on this page uses seats on offer = A + N + I + L.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Fill % | Booked ÷ seats on offer, over the next 14 days. |
| Show rate | Arrived ÷ settled bookings, over the last 28 days. Settled means the outcome is known — marked arrived or marked no-show. A forward booking has no outcome and is excluded, or it would drag every rate to zero. |
| Chairs filled | Arrived ÷ seats on offer. What the studio actually did with its day. |
| Kids | The booking’s own age is 17 or under. Not the KIDSX marketing family, so this will not tie to /kids-volume. |
| Weekend | Saturday and Sunday. Kept apart from Mon–Fri throughout because they are different products with different qualification. |
| Cancellation | A row in the CRM no-show/cancelled report with a cancel date. |
| No-show | The same report without a cancel date — nobody told us. |
| Resellable | A cancellation with 2+ days’ notice. |
1. A forward day is not an empty day. Day 13 of the window is not lost, it is not filled yet — the diary is sold in the last fortnight. Six months of settled history lands at 72–80% however thin the book looks a fortnight out. That is why the day-by-day table shows days-out rather than one blended number.
2. Booked is not showed. Around 30% of booked seats no-show, so fill % overstates what happens in the room by roughly a third. Where this page projects arrivals it says so.
Eight studios trade. The city map is scripts/reports/lib/finance_cities.js, which is the canonical one — note Studio 1 is Florida, not New York; the two older maps in the repo both get this wrong. Maps A is New York. Maps B, Apex A, Apex B, Icon Studio, Soul Studios and Reviews carry no bookings at all and are excluded; Apex A, Apex B and Icon Studio each sit ~986 seats open and completely empty over a 28-day window.
