What has happened so far

Heather Nichols complained on 2026-08-24 by social / dm — 27 days ago. They signed for $4,050 and have paid $8,100. It sits with Steph A — because they replied last, not because they picked it up. Nobody has recorded reading it. Nothing on file says who spoke last.

Message sent View message 1 of 27 Heather Nichols Inbox Denise Nichols <dnichols1981@gmail.com> 11:03?AM (0 minutes ago) to me Hello, I am Heathers manager, Denise Nichols. In your professional opinion is the New York offer an unverifiable job? Could you supply us with some more links for modeling work? We would really love to get started. Thanks so much Denise Nichols -------------- Stephanie Outreach 11:06?AM (0 minutes ago) to Denise Hello, Welcome to the studio! It was a pleasure to have you at our studio! As you begin your modeling journey, there are two primary paths to finding work: Independent Modeling As an independent model, you work as a freelancer, find your own opportunities, and keep 100% of your earnings. Most independent models find work through casting websites, social media, networking, and local casting calls. Recommended casting platforms include: https://www.castingnetworks.com/ https://castingfrontier.com/ https://www.buildcasting.com/ https://www.backstage.com/ https://www.mandy.com/ https://kidscasting.com/ https://actorsaccess.com/register/benefits.cfm https://castingcallsamerica.app/new-site?site=chicago (Chicago/ Free version) https://castingcallsamerica.app/new-site?site=indiana (Indiana Free version) https://www.jennyalisoncasting.com/ (Nashville Free) You can also find opportunities on Eventbrite, Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Agency Representation Agencies help secure opportunities on your behalf in exchange for a commission. Most agencies accept submissions directly through their websites under links such as "Apply," "Get Discovered," or "Become a Model." Apply to these agencies: https://www.180talent.com/ https://www.eyemgmt.com/ https://www.thirdcoast-elite.com/contact A Few Tips Apply consistently to both agencies and casting opportunities. Use your digitals when submitting. Keep track of where you apply. Follow up with agencies 2–3 weeks after applying. Research agencies before sharing personal information. These steps represent the foundation of your modeling journey.

Response to your offer Stephanie Outreach <stephanie@studio-1.us> 10:35?AM (1 minute ago) to heathernichols724@gmail.com I reviewed the contract and also searched for independent information about the company and the people named in it. I would advise you not to sign this or send the $580 deposit without independent verification. There are several significant red flags. Biggest concerns The $580 upfront deposit is the biggest red flag. The contract says the model must pay $580 to “secure” the engagement, supposedly to be reimbursed when she arrives. A legitimate modeling booking generally should not require the model to send money upfront in order to receive promised compensation. Do not send the $580 unless the booking is independently verified. The “modeling license or performance permit” requirement is suspicious. The contract says a valid modeling license/performance permit is required and that the agency can obtain one for the model. That wording is unusual enough that I would want the exact permit identified, the government agency issuing it, the legal requirement, and the actual cost before paying anything. The Bottega Veneta connection is not independently confirmed. The contract claims the assignment is specifically for Bottega Veneta at 601 W. 26th Street in NYC on August 15–16. I could not find an independent public source confirming this particular August 2026 booking. The address itself is a real NYC commercial address, but that does not prove this assignment is genuine. The company information doesn't line up cleanly. The contract identifies Aethel Model Management with an address in Paris, France, while the assignment is in New York and the contract says it is governed by the laws of New York, the United States, and the United Kingdom. That combination isn't automatically illegal, but it deserves verification. The contract is unusually complicated for a 3-day booking. It gives the agency broad rights over the model's name, likeness and photographs and includes restrictions on accepting other opportunities and even complimentary modeling-related training or travel. There is confusing compensation language. It says the model receives $5,500 for the full term, but it doesn't clearly explain exactly who is paying that amount, when it will be paid, or how the $580 deposit interacts with the $5,500. ???? What I found online I searched for Aethel Model Management, Suzanne Rulten, the company website, and the alleged Bottega Veneta booking. I did not find enough independent evidence connecting this specific agency, Suzanne Rulten, and this specific booking to Bottega Veneta. I did find references to a person named Suzanne Rulten online, but they appear to relate to other professional activities and do not independently establish that she represents Aethel Model Management. So I would classify this as high-risk/unverified, rather than saying I can definitively prove it is a scam.

Nothing here is tagged as Email AI — and it would not be: no note in the CRM carries an AI marker, and there is no automated author among the 246 people who write notes. So this cannot yet tell you whether Email AI handled this client. The moment Email AI stamps what it writes (anything will do — an [AI] prefix), its messages appear here and every past thread re-sorts on the next gather.
