to me
Dear USA Models,
I am writing to formally request the cancellation of the agreement that I entered into with USA Models regarding my daughter.
During the Zoom call, Alex went over the information with me while the documents were displayed on the television/computer screen in front of me. He did not read or explain all of the terms and conditions of the documents I was signing. Instead, he explained the opportunity to me in a way that led me to believe that USA Models would help my daughter pursue a modeling career and guide her through the process.
I was told that there would be a place where I could access and find auditions and opportunities for my daughter to make money. I was also led to believe that there would be mentors and guidance available to help her, and that if she obtained work through these opportunities, USA Models would receive a percentage of what she earned.
Based on what Alex explained to me during the Zoom call, I believed that USA Models would provide the guidance and resources necessary to help my daughter get started in the modeling industry. I relied on those representations when I agreed to sign the documents.
Afterward, I received an email containing the documents I had signed and was finally able to review the terms and conditions myself. I was extremely concerned to discover that the written agreement states that USA Models is not a modeling agency and does not find jobs for its clients.
That is not what I understood I was agreeing to based on what was explained to me during the Zoom call. I was not clearly informed that USA Models would not be finding modeling work or functioning as a modeling agency. Had those limitations been clearly explained to me before I signed, I would not have entered into this agreement.
I feel that I was pressured into signing the agreement based on information that was not consistent with the actual terms and conditions. I believe the services that were represented to me during the sales presentation are not being provided as I understood they would be.
At this point, I do not know where to begin to help my daughter find legitimate modeling opportunities or an agent, despite being led to believe that this guidance and assistance would be available through USA Models.
For these reasons, I am requesting that this agreement be cancelled immediately. I do not wish to continue with the agreement or incur any additional charges or obligations.
I would prefer to resolve this matter directly and professionally. However, if USA Models refuses to cancel the agreement, I will provide the agreement, correspondence, and information regarding the Zoom presentation to my attorney and have my attorney contact your company regarding this matter.
Please provide me with written confirmation that the agreement has been cancelled and that no further charges or obligations will be pursued against me.
Thanks Brandi

Hello Brandi,
Thank you for your email, and I apologize for the delayed response.
I want to clarify that while we provide professional materials, guidance, and industry resources to support your daughter’s development, we do not directly provide or guarantee job opportunities, bookings, or placements. The modeling industry is highly competitive, and results can vary based on individual effort, consistency, market conditions, and other external factors.
While Studio 1 does not operate as a modeling agency, we provide clients with professional materials, industry resources, guidance, assistance, and ongoing support designed to help them independently pursue modeling opportunities. Our role is to provide the tools and direction necessary to help navigate the industry; we do not act as an agent or directly book work on a client’s behalf.
The services provided by our company are clearly outlined in the signed agreement and were also discussed prior to your purchase. Additionally, the outreach email sent before the photoshoot provides information regarding the scope of our services and what we provide as a company.
Our review and support are based on the terms contained in the signed agreement, which serves as the official record of the services and obligations agreed upon.

That being said, we would like to work toward an amicable resolution. As previously discussed, we encourage you to reconsider the reduction option that has been offered. This option is intended to address your concerns while allowing your daughter to retain the applicable materials and resources.
We believe the reduction offer provides a reasonable resolution given the terms of the agreement and the services associated with the account.
Please let me know if you would like to move forward with the reduction option or if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
Alejandro

Good afternoon,
After consulting with my attorney, I hereby request that the contract I signed be declared null and void.
The contract was presented via Zoom rather than in person. The terms were not adequately explained, and I was not provided sufficient time or opportunity to review the agreement in full prior to execution. I was instructed to sign during the call without a complete review of the document.
I acknowledge the $450 payment for the photo shoot. I have confirmed with another agency in Lexington, Kentucky, that this is a standard professional photography fee. You may retain the $450 as payment for services rendered, and I am not requesting a refund of that amount.
Accordingly, I request written confirmation that the contract has been canceled and treated as void.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your written response. Sincerely Brandi Hunter

Hello Brandi,
Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding your experience. We take all feedback seriously and would like to address your concerns regarding your claim of feeling pressured into signing the agreement.
At Studio1, we strive to ensure that all clients are informed of their options and have the opportunity to make their own decisions. Please note that clients are not required to purchase or sign an agreement during their visit. Additionally, clients have the option to leave the studio and request a full refund of their $50 booking deposit if they decide not to move forward.
By signing the agreement, you acknowledged the terms and conditions, including the non-cancellable nature of the package. Since the agreement was signed, Studio1 has proceeded with fulfilling the services and materials outlined in your package. These services include your professional portfolio materials, images, model guide, website, and other resources designed to support your modeling goals.
We understand that you may have concerns about your decision; however, this does not change the value of the services and resources that have already been prepared and provided.
That being said, our Production Team has already begun working on your website. However, the creation of your Z-Card has not yet started.
As a resolution, we are willing to remove the Z-Card from your package. You will still receive your images, Model Guide, website, and mentorship, with a revised package total of $2,500.
The amount you have already paid, totaling $450, will be applied toward this adjusted package. Your remaining balance would be $2,050, which can be financed over 12 monthly payments of $170.83.
If you would like to accept this offer, please reply directly to this email, and I will update your account accordingly.
I encourage you to review the reduction offer outlined in this email thread. We believe this provides a reasonable resolution considering the terms of the agreement and the services already initiated.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Alejandro
